  • Info: If you use a Mac to connect to the machine, you need to install this driver in your Mac. Otherwise, the software cannot recognize your Mac, or your Mac may reboot automatically when connected to the machine.

Warning: If you have a Mac OS X v10.12+ (i.e. High Sierra, Mojave), your computer may restart as soon as you insert the CH340 to your computer. We recommend that you uninstall the old drivers first and follow these directions below before connecting the CH340 to your COM port. So, I have Arduino Nano CH340x working on Mac OS (Mojave), Ubuntu 18.04, Elementary Linux (forget version) and openSuSE Leap 42.3 Malachite. It was not at all necessary to install drivers or make them on the Linux machines - but I did install them for the Mac. Downloaded from the Chinese site. Step 3: Download and Install The Software. Now, a driver will be needed which will help to get the USB adapter to communicate with the computer. The name of this driver is CH340. If you are using Windows OS, open the subfolder named “CH341SERwin” and if you are using MAC, open the subfolder named “CH34xInstallmac”.
